Main Accountabilities
  • Provide strong architecture expertise to ensure that the Azelis architecture supports and aligns with business initiatives and technology strategy. Drive the creation and implementation of architecture standards in a complex environment.
  • Provide architecture design recommendations based on organisation strategy, develops technical architecture, and establish standards and guardrails to design technology solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimise the cloud infrastructure for performance, security, scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the cloud infrastructure, working closely with other teams to investigate and resolve incidents.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, playbooks and best practices to support incident response and troubleshooting processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends and best practices. Evaluate new tools, services and frameworks to enhance the organisation's cloud capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Support the post-merger integration projects from an infra/cloud & security perspective.
  • Lead the implementation of the organisation's enterprise security strategy and policies globally.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Profound understanding of information security governance best practices and common information security compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates, Azure CLI or PowerShell to enable consistent and repeatable deployments. Automate provisioning, configuration and scaling of Azure resources to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Optimise the performance and availability of Azure solutions by analysing logs and alerts using Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights and other Azure-native tools.
  • Leverage Azure security controls, policies and best practices to ensure security and compliance.
  • Leverage Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault and other Azure security services to protect data, manage access and mitigate potential risks.
  • Conversational in most of the following: business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines and operational disciplines.
  • Maintains effective relationships with partners, vendors, consultants and co-workers.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical studies.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud services and (cloud) architecture principles, designs and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Azure Resource Manager) and configuration management tools (e.g. Desired State Configuration (DSC)).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python) for automation and infrastructure tasks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, delivery and deployment.
  • Experience with modernising traditional on-prem workloads to cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with core Azure services such as Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Active Directory, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, …
  • Strong understanding of security principles, security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights and Azure Log Analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
