Business Development Western & Southern Europe Trainee
Primary objectives of position
Be an integral part of the Development Team Western & Southern Europe and support the growth of the group in the region, closely working with the investor and development community as well as relevant internal stakeholders. Allowing you to obtain a deeper understanding of the various contract types (franchise, management and lease agreement) as well as the commercial underwriting and valuation of development projects. Alongside of the group’s growth activities in the region, you will also participate in portfolio management focussing on retention/extension negotiations of existing contracts.

Projects and Support tasks include
General tasks
Work closely with Vice President Development Western and Southern Europe
Assist with the preparation of commercial proposal for either franchise, management and lease agreement opportunities
Support with the analysis and underwriting of specific development & portfolio management projects
Support with the coordination of external events dedicated to communicate and engage with the development/investment community.
Ensure relevant databases and internal reporting requirements are re up-to-date.
Reporting
Assist in the bi-weekly reporting process for the region and keep track of ongoing milestone dates
Assist in the reporting process for the department
Your profile and attitude
Being passionate about the hotel industry, hotel brands, commercial negotiations and financial underwriting.
Being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can prioritise work to align with the team’s responsibilities.
Self-reliant, working with minimal control and direction
Fluent in business English (written and spoken).
Masters all Office tools and in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other group employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
Expresses confidence in own ideas and networks with others and earns credibility and trust
At all times project a favorable image of the company to promote its aim and objectives
