CAD Leader
Description
At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale. We are currently looking for a CAD Leader to join the team. The role will report to the PLM Leader.
Your tasks
- Oversea the global 3D modelling team to support various platforms and projects.
- Work closely with platform leaders and customer engineering leaders to determine the resource needs and promptly create work packages.
- Work with corporate CAD functional excellence teams to develop CAD best practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensures consistent quality and timely CAD resource allocation, measures performance and defines KPIs.
- Initiates CAD outsourcing activities where and when appropriate.
- Identifies training and support needs within the team to ensure a balanced competency mix in the team in the different global regions.
- Makes hardware and software tools available to the team, ensures the hardware and software are up to par with the business requirements and support maximum productivity.
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Significant experience in a similar engineering leadership role
- Experience in managing CAD engineers.
- Knowledgeable in any CAD tool is preferred.
- Experience with PTC Creo CAD platform and Windchill PLM system is a bonus.
