We are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing and Communications (MCC) team based in Wavre, Belgium.
The ideal candidate will get the chance to work alongside our senior designer, learning and utilizing key skills to create visually engaging and compelling designs that align with RHEA’s brand and marketing strategies. You will have the opportunity to participate in various projects, ranging from social media graphics and email campaigns to print materials and web design.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring graphic designer to gain hands-on experience and grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Collaborating with the MCC team to develop and execute creative design concepts for a variety of marketing materials, including but not limited to social media graphics, digital ads, brochures, flyers, presentations, and website visuals (for internal and external audiences).
- Assisting in maintaining and evolving the visual brand identity, ensuring consistency across all design elements.
- Brainstorming and contributing innovative ideas for design projects and marketing campaigns.
- Staying up-to-date with design trends, tools and best practices to continually improve the quality of design work.
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Incorporating feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs and achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of design concepts with overall marketing strategies.
- Taking on and being responsible for specific design tasks.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- A design qualification such as a degree or diploma.
- At least 6 months experience in working in a design role, e.g. an internship or work experience.
- A reasonable understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Acrobat as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and a good knowledge of PowerPoint.
- An eye for good design layout and typography.
- A good understanding of different marketing channels – online and print.
- Desire to be creative and think ‘outside the box’.
- Ability to follow instructions, but using your own initiative.
- Have a passion for creativity, design and design structure.
- The ability to listen and adapt when delivering projects and concepts.
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail in everything you do.
- Good communication skills and able to work with people at all levels of the business.
- A team player.
- Up to date with the latest trends and design best practices.
- Good spoken and written communications and are fluent in English and French.
